Here's where I chat about photography (SURPRISE)...  weddings (of course)... helpful ideas I hear about...  and cool things I find along the way.

Well, I'm the girl next door who somehow gets herself into crazy situations...(like shooting a wedding in Macedonia or assisting a bigtime Hollywood director by answering an ad in the paper).  I started life in a Midwest cow town, moved to an island with no cars, and now live on the beach in California...  but still I  somehow end up back on that island and visiting the cows!!

The reason for photography...  I've always loved photos, people... and life!   At first I loved documenting the moments and people in MY life...  (since 7th grade I've kept a photo album). Then as I grew up and discovered Art I realized how beautiful photography could be (hence the art degree).  But now... I've truly found my passion and joy in combining the two... I love capturing moments between people and the life that surrounds us in gorgeous ways.  A picture is truly worth a thousand words...  I strive for my photos to act as memory keepers... an image that can bring back emotions of that special time in life.

A few more fun things I love...

Laughter:   Mine, friends... strangers on the street... I love hearing people happy it makes me
                  want to skip   

Colors:    I love colorful things... (although I usually end up wearing black ... hmmmm?)

Fresh Mangos:   yummy!

Dance Dance Dance:  I hear a good beat and I can't stand still... (beware at weddings)

Palm Trees:   Always make me smile... probably because I never grew up with them

                                                                          Freighters:   Classic Island site ...  they are so powerful and yet so peaceful

                                                                          Purple G-2 Pilot Pens:   Every girl needs a good purple pen.. right?!

                                                                          All things "i" :   seriously... "Apple Girl" right here... iphone, ipod, imac, i-everything

                                                                         Coastlines:  Whether walking on a CA beach or biking along the Mackinac shore, waves make me happy

                                                                         Amazing bedding:   Anything that makes you feel like your sleeping on clouds

Geez... the more I think of "my favorite things".. the longer the list gets ... I guess I should just stop here..  but I'm sure this list will be changing

One last favorite...  Meeting people who are taking risks and doing what they love... whether its job related, relationship related, family related.. whatever ... anyone that follows their HEART.. (inspiring)!!
