After Emily made a lovely lunch (first thing I could eat after yesterdays HUGE German lunch).. her and I wondered out into the center of town for a little dessert.. photo taking ... and walking tour... after getting lost (jut a tiny bit).. in the rain... oh well.. we took coverage in a great pub on the river... had a little Sangria before Gerry met up.
It was a lovely day... very relaxing... and I got a few great shots. I am truly enjoying my travels. This trio is really less about seeing a bunch of sites running all over the place and all about visiting with long lost friends and stepping into their world for just a moment. Luxembourg was surely no different... by the time we were walking home I could see how Emily & Gerry have made this place their home.
Now... its off to Paris to meet up with Diana... I am so excited to see her perform (she's an AMAZING opera singer)... how cool is that ;)

Today.. after sleeping in till 11a.m. ahhhh finally a full 8 hours of sleep (or more ;)... Emily and I hopped in the car and took the little half hour excursion over the boarder to Trier, Germany... mmm.. mmm... mmm not only was it such a cute little German town but I had such great schnitzel and potatoes... I think I will be full for the whole week!

Today I said goodbye (for now) to my new favorite dancing queen little miss Lexi and of course Katie & Luke.. who I cannot wait to see again in the states.
On my way to Luxembourg I had a great 2 hour tour of Brussels with Susan which included an AMAZING Belgium lunch, chocolates, cookies and a quick running tour of all the important pretty buildings... (obviously I have to return)... but it was great
Then,,, it was on to Luxembourg where I walked into a home that smelled amazing! Emily made the best dinner before we went for a great walk into the old center of town and had a Kir Royal at a local pub.
Tomorrow.. who knows... a little touring of Luxembourg... possibly a trip to Germany... but whatever it is lots of pics for sure... of course!

BTW.. .notice the pic of ChiChi's .. really in Luxembourg... I didn't even think they still had them in Michigan...

I must say this trip really has been very little about seeing the "sights" visiting museums... you know the usual "touristy things".. and all about walking the streets shooting lots of pics... DEFINITELY visiting with friends.. and EATING.. I swear that is all I have been doing. Well today, Katie, Luke, and Lexi... continued with the trend with their own little "food tour of Antwerp".. or should I say SUGAR tour of Antwerp.. from Beligium Waffles... to cookies.. to candies... and OF COURSE Belgium chocolate... these pics may not be so pretty but they sure are funny.. .and will probably give you a cavity just looking at them...
In true Detroit style... we're heading out at 2am to go watch the Redwings game... SOOO STOKED.. just trying to get this last blog entry in so I can catch a tiny bit a sleep before...
